Privacy policy

This policy explains how Digital Rooftop LLC handles information in the SEO Rockstars mobile app.

Who operates the app

Digital Rooftop LLC operates the SEO Rockstars mobile app. For questions or requests about app information, email support@seorockstars.net. This policy covers the mobile app; ticket purchases, the conference website, and linked services may have separate terms and privacy practices.

Information used by the app

  • Attendee accounts: your name, optional company and profile details, organizer-assigned sign-in identifier, conference pass type, and organizer permissions.
  • Sign-in and security: your username is submitted to the service to open an account session. The account database stores a keyed hash of it. Random session credentials, account identifiers, login-attempt counters, and technical request information help maintain access and limit abuse.
  • Shared activity: meetup titles and descriptions, meeting places and times, RSVPs, content reports, and attendee-blocking choices that you submit.
  • Optional event photos: photos you choose to share, your sharing consent, upload and review times, and photo reports or blocking choices. Images are processed to remove location metadata before publication. Uploads are reviewed by the event team before other attendees can see them.
  • Optional event feedback: a rating and any comment you choose to submit, saved with your account and submission time so the event organizers can review your experience.
  • Support: information you submit when requesting help, reporting content, or asking us to delete an account.
  • Local information: bookmarks, private session notes, and cached event information are stored on your device. Private notes and bookmarks are not uploaded to our event database.
  • Optional phone alerts: in app versions that support notifications, enabling alerts registers a device notification token, platform, account association, and separate event and promotional alert preferences. If you choose Rockstars news & offers, we record the consent time and the version of the consent language you accepted, and record when that choice is revoked. We also record send attempts and delivery-service receipts to operate and troubleshoot notifications.
  • Technical information: service providers process information such as IP addresses, app/platform versions, installation identifiers, update requests, and crash information used for update recovery when delivering, maintaining, and protecting the app.

The app does not require an email address to sign in and does not request your device location, contacts, camera, or microphone for its conference features.

How information is used

We use this information to provide the conference experience, apply the access assigned to your pass, show shared meetup activity, respond to support and reports, review optional feedback to improve the event, moderate and display photos you choose to share with other attendees, protect accounts, deliver compatible software updates, and send the event reminders or promotional notifications you explicitly choose. We do not sell app personal information or share it for third-party targeted advertising. If you opt in to Rockstars news & offers, we use your notification registration to send our own future-event news and ticket promotions.

What other attendees can see

When you host or join a meetup, your name and company can appear on that meetup and its guest list. Your name can also appear on an event-update RSVP list. Approved event photos are visible to signed-in attendees. Attendees can save individual approved photos or download selected photos and the gallery for their personal event memories. Your photo uploader name is not displayed in the attendee gallery; organizers can see it to review uploads and reports. There is no public attendee directory. Your sign-in username, private notes, blocking choices, reports, and event feedback are not published to other attendees. Event organizers can see submitted feedback with your account name; feedback is private to the event team, not anonymous. Reports are available to the organizer for moderation.

VIP event data and organizer actions are restricted by server-side account permissions. Keep your assigned username private: anyone who knows it can use it to sign in as your account.

Saving event photos

Saving is optional. App versions with direct photo saving request permission to add the photos you choose to your phone’s photo library; they do not read your existing photos. Older Android phones may require storage write access. Browser downloads create a JPEG or ZIP file on your device. Temporary download files are cleared after saving where the device permits. Saved copies are controlled by the person who downloaded them and their device or backup settings. Removing a gallery photo or deleting an app account cannot remove copies someone already saved.

Phone alerts and your choices

Phone alerts are optional. In app versions that support notifications, you can separately choose Event reminders and Rockstars news & offers in notification settings. Promotional notifications about future Rockstars events and ticket offers require the explicit news & offers choice; enabling event reminders or allowing phone notifications does not opt you in to promotions. Both choices start off and can be turned off separately at any time. You can also manage notification permissions in your phone settings. Notification tokens are associated with your app account so the event team can send updates appropriate to its assigned access. Tokens are not published to other attendees. In versions with these separate preferences, a notification subscription can remain active after the conference and after your sign-in session expires. It expires 365 days after its most recent registration in the app and can be renewed when you use the app. Earlier event-alert registrations, if any, retain their original expiry until renewed. Account deletion removes the registration. Disabling alerts stops future sends from our service to that registration; an alert already in delivery may still arrive.

Notification services process the device token and message content to deliver an alert. Delivery-service acceptance does not confirm that your phone displayed it or that you read it. Your phone settings and connectivity affect delivery.

Service providers and external links

We use Supabase to store and serve app account, shared-event, and optional feedback data, and Expo services to deliver the app, compatible updates, and optional notifications. Optional notifications are delivered through Apple Push Notification service on iPhone and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android. Firebase can process an installation identifier when a device is registered for notifications. These providers process data to support the service. Maps and venue websites open only when you choose their links and are governed by their own privacy practices.

Retention and deletion

Account, shared-activity, approved photo, and submitted feedback records are retained while the account is active or needed to operate and moderate the event experience. Sessions are valid for up to 30 days. Expired sessions and old rate-limit counters are cleaned up during service operation. Notification subscriptions in versions with separate preferences have the independent 365-day expiry described above. Expired subscriptions cannot receive further sends. Consent and delivery records may be retained while the account is active to operate the service and explain a notification choice; account deletion removes the related active records. Service-provider logs and backups follow the providers’ retention processes.

Deleting your app account removes its profile, sign-in access, sessions, notification registrations and related delivery records, uploaded photos and photo reports, hosted meetups, published event updates, RSVPs, blocks, submitted feedback, and associated reports from the active app database. In-app deletion also clears the app’s saved sessions, notes, alert preference, and cached notification token on the device you use for that deletion. Local copies on other devices are governed by those devices’ storage and backup settings. Ticket purchase records are separate from app accounts.

You can remove your own uploaded photos in the gallery, report photos that concern you, and block an uploader. Incomplete uploads and expired photo-access links are periodically cleaned up. You can delete your account or request deletion without the app. Contact us to request access to or correction of account information.

Security and your choices

The service uses encrypted network connections, server-controlled permissions, limited login attempts, and device session storage. No system can guarantee complete security. Protect your username and device, and contact the organizer if you think someone else is using your account. You can edit your name and company in the app, manage blocked attendees, and keep or remove your device-local notes.

Children and policy updates

The app is intended for participants in a professional conference, not for children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child’s information has been added in error. We will update this page when our app practices change and revise the date shown above.
